Anaglyph, ColorCode® & ChromaDepth®

Anaglyph is an inexpensive method of 3D
that can be a very effective business or product promotion tool.

Simply put, an anaglyph is a process whereby a three-dimensional visual effect is created by dyeing each of two images a different color, usually red and cyan or red and green, and then viewing them through complementary-colored filters, one over each eye. This definition usually applies whenever colored filters are used to obtain a stereoscopic effect. Digital technology has made it possible to display true colors that render an improved 3D effect.

ANACHROME™ A more effective version of red/cyan and superior to everything that has come before. The colors have been precisely "tuned" to intensify the 3D effect and enable more colors to come through. COLORCODE® Another version of anaglyph which uses a dark blue and amber filter in place of red & cyan. The biggest advantage to this process is that there are already million of pairs of ColorCode glasses distributed across America and other parts of the world.* 147 million glasses just like these are still out there.147 million glasses just like these are still out there. Here is an example of what ColorCode looks like. A Frame grab from the video we did for TetraPak. Both forms of anaglyph are a post-production process requiring specialized software. And both methods feature the same basic advantages: • Works on all displays (CRT, LCD, LED, Plasma), and all projectors (LCD, DLP & LCOS). • Full color reproduction.* • High quality in full resolution. • Same glasses work will all display methods. • The 3D image looks almost like an ordinary image when viewed without special colored glasses.** • Works with all standard equipment. Stereomedia offers 3D production services for both methods.

CHROMADEPTH® The 3D ChromaDepth® glasses create striking 3D images from normal 2D images by pulling forward the color red to the foreground and sorting the remaining colors according to their position in the rainbow. It's not real 3D, but it's used to gain attention. Stereomedia created the all the "live action" footage for the KISS 3D Video. * Super Bowl 2009. 147 million pairs of ColorCode glasses were distributed through 28,000 retail outlets for several 3D/ColorCoded segments during half-time.
