The Stimson Bullitt Collection, a present of Dorothy Stimson Bullittis a set of prints that was first proven at the Seattle Public Library’s Black and White Loan Exhibition in 1909, which was organized by The Seattle Fine Arts Association. Included in this present are works by James McNeil Whistler and Seymour Haden, each of whom were lively in the British print revival motion.
“Light Years” kicked off in June with a look at the gallery’s authentic focus on photojournalism and reportage, which helped promote the figure of photojournalist-as-artist and mirrored on the eclipse by television of the printed press as the main provider of reports. The second installment opens this month with a retrospective on the style and promoting photographers the gallery featured throughout the Seventies and ‘80s, together with a controversial show about ascendant magazines corresponding to i-D and The Face. It is proud to represent a rising number of elite photographers and we pride ourselves on being one of many friendliest galleries to visit.
